The NQF Level 4 Science examination focuses on three content areas:
- Life science (40%)
- Physical science (40%)
- Earth and space science (20%)
- This examination assesses fundamental science thinking, including understanding concepts, knowing how to do tasks correctly, being fluent, and using reasoning skills in real-life situations. Each question on the Science examination matches a science skill and a subject.
- The examination includes questions that check your ability to understand and analyze texts, represent data, make inferences, and solve problems with scientific information. These skills are useful in both academic and work environments. Furthermore, the Science examination assesses your ability to interpret statistics and data.
- The duration of the examination is 90 minutes.
